You claim to like adventure games, but are you willing to put your money where your mouth is? Tim Schafer and Double Fine have started a Kickstarter campaign to allow fans a chance to show they are willing to pony up the dough to have a new, original point-and-click style adventure game made.

Not content to take their fans’ money and lock themselves away at their Top Secret San Francisco based headquarters while they crunch away on those video game bits and bytes, they have hired 2 Player Productions to create a documentary about the experience. They’ll be covering the entire process, from start to finish. That way we can see their meteoric rise to the top, or alternatively their crash and burn culminating in a close up on Schafer with a single tear rolling down his cheek.

On this, the second episode of I Am Error, Wes is unable to make it to the festivities. Fortunately, he is there in spirit. By that I mean we may have played sound clips of him from other podcasts.

This time on the show, Jonah takes up hosting duties in Wes‘s absence and is joined by his faithful co-host Dan Diemer. We are also joined by special guest stars Adam Anania and Jesse Gregory from The Mega Man Network. You may have connected the dots and realized that Adam and Jesse are the same Adam and Jesse from this very site, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are some of the biggest Mega Man fans around. This has given them great insight into this episode’s topic, “The Blue Bomber’s Bombs”.

Staying clear of the traditional games Mega Man has starred in leads us to explore some of his more interesting excursions into video gaming’s pantheon. First, we talk about Mega Man Soccer, or is it Mega Man’s Soccer? The title screen and the box art can’t agree on which version is correct. We then move on to an interesting take on the Kart Racer, Mega Man Battle and Chase. After all, as a famous game once said, “I wish you a good luck.”

Moving on, it’s the Dragon’s Liar-tastic Super Adventure Rockman, followed by one of the more offbeat entries, the Japan only Wily and Light no Rockboard – That’s Paradise. Just how like Monopoly is it really?

It’s time for some “real talk”.

We here at WingDamage strive to bring you fun and original content about video games. It’s our favorite thing to blather on about. But there comes a time when you realize that life has gotten significantly busier for you, and your hobbies need to be pushed to the back burner.

That said, we want to continue to record and post new episodes or Barrel Roll, but to continue to do so we have changed a few things. First, it’s a little bit more on the casual/conversational side. We are going to pick a couple topics and see where they take us. This means there may be some tangents. Second, we are going bi-weekly, at least for the time being. The good news is Jesse is also going to attempt to make “Sound In Action” bi-weekly, so you’ll still be getting a new podcast every week. We are also working on the next episode of “I Am Error“, so we got that going on too.

This week on the show, Adam Anania returns to tell us all the games he has been playing. It isn’t really a game so much as a way to send Jesse disturbing images. It’s better known as Swapnote. Jonah tried to get into the Sega CD entry in the Sonic series, Sonic CD, on the iPhone, and to give himself something other than Star Wars: The Old Republic to talk about, he also played a few rounds of Orcs Must Die!

Meanwhile, Jesse actually played some games, which include the excellent Rayman Origins and a flash game that is almost exactly like Mega Man, but not quite. It’s called Rokko Chan and it stars a “female” robot fighting several bosses whose names happen to end in “Man”. We also pick the winner of our Bad Dudes “Metroid 25th Anniversary Album” giveaway.

It’s a shorter show this week thanks to all of the end of the year goings on, but we still had a good time talking video games. So give it a download and a listen, and enjoy our one-hundred and forty-eighth episode, “Sandopolis”.

This week on the show, Jonah and Jesse are joined by Mike Bachmann of “A Fistful of Pixels” fame. It’s a rollicking good time filled with unicorns, laser swords and doughnuts. In our “What We’ve Been Playing” segment, Jonah has had The Old Republic sink its claws deep inside his tender flesh with its early access program. He did break away long enough to give Ghost Trick a try, but only just.

We’ve finally decided to throw in the towel and become a full on tabloid rag. Think of all the awesome hits we could pull in with sensationalist headlines like “Nintendo is Over!”, “Miyamoto Quits All Games!”, and “Video Games Kills Kittens!”. We would be rolling in the fat stacks of cash. But alas, we were too busy playing video games to sensationalize headlines about them.

This week on the show, Jonah and Jesse and joined by Rockin’ Android’s own Adam Milecki for some in-depth talk of Demon’s Souls and why Adam is so addicted to it. Jonah has been playing baby games, specifically Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure on both the PS3 and 3DS. Jesse gives us an look into what makes Mario Kart 7 a worthwhile entry in the series and to your 3DS library. Jonah and Adam talk about Blocks that Matter and what it is that matters about them. Adam has also given Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony a try and gives us his thoughts.

There wasn’t much of note hitting shelves this week, so we delve right into the news to talk about what Miyamoto’s recent announcement regarding his position at Nintendo could potentially mean, Capcom getting into the doujin localization market, The Old Republic early access, and much more. On this, the one-hundred and forty-fourth entry in the annals of podcast history, we travel back to do the days of Templars and Assassins fighting over their various creeds. And who can rise up and rule them all? Only one man is brave enough. Only one man is cunning enough. Only one man has top hat enough to accomplish his goals.

This week, Jonah, Jesse, and Adam come together to discuss their likes and dislikes of Super Mario 3D Land, and even spend some time in Bowser’s Zen Garden. Adam goes back to one of his favorite series of this generation with Assassin’s Creed Revelations and gives us the breakdown of the changes from the last game. Jonah, living in the past once again, has been playing a bunch of Ticket to Ride. That’s a German board game from 2004, which shows you how hip that guy is. Jesse tries desperately to bring us back into the future with his initial impressions of Mario Kart 7 and the Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony DLC.

We are joined once again by our “Let’s Play Together” segment, where both Jesse and Jonah have thrown their hats into the modern warfare combat simulator, Battlefield 3. It’s unique take on the military shooter genre has sucked them in even more so than the last entry in the genre they cared about, Rainbow Six Vegas 2.
