On a very special twenty-fourth episode of “Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast”, we are joined by our good friend Wesley Johnson as well as our number one super-fan, Russ “The Bus” Walsh for another extra special livetacular recording of the podcast.

Sure, there may be Millie Vanillie related distractions. Discussions of the Brazillian Mega Man comics and Pokémon themed N64′s may have occurred, but we also talk about stuff. Specifically our piles of shame. You know, those games we know are awesome that we own but just haven’ had a chance to finish?

But before any of that, we talk about the games we have been playing. Jesse has still been playing Mega’Mon Red (Mega Man Star Force 3:  Red Joker), but also had a chance to try out the new “Wipeout HD Fury” DLC  and the “Final Fantasy Dissidia” demo. Jonah recently became addicted to the job system in “Final Fantasy V Advanced” for the GBA, while Wes has been trying to make his way through “Tales of Monkey Island” episode one. Meanwhile, Russ has been digging into the fan made patch for “Smash Bros. Brawl” called “Smash Plus” which re-balances all the characters for tournament play.

We listen to a cover of Weezer’s “El Scorcho” from the new 8-bit tribute album put together by Pterodactyl Squad, and then talk about the news. All this and so much more on episode 24 of Barrel Roll.

"My Mom Helped Me"

On a very special twenty-third episode of Barrel Roll! – A Video Game Podcast, we are joined by special guest Mustin from the amazing video game music related band, The OneUps.

As per usual, we have a discussion revolving around the games we have been playing. Jesse has now committed to “Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker”, and tells us his trials and tribulations revolving around his Brother Band. Mustin has gone back to “Final Fantasy VI Advance”, in a quest to unlock that version’s extra content, while Jonah has been busy bustin’ Ghosts.

We then have an in-depth interview with Mustin, where he shares all the various projects he is working on, how they got started, their influences… you know, the usual interview stuff. We have a fun time talking music and video games.

Mustin was also kind enough to share two brand new songs with us that we played on the live feed, and you can now hear again in this edited version of the cast. The first is “Mario Circuit” from The OneUps upcoming Mario Kart album, while the second is from CHRONOTORIOUS and is titled “BAMF”.

In the news we discuss the final piece of Fallout 3 DLC, Mothership Zeta, Doc Louis’s Punch-Out!!, Valkyria Chronicles 2, Dragon Quest IX DLC quests, Wipeout HD: Fury and much more.

On a very special episode of “Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast”, the twenty second as it turns out, Jesse and Jonah are left to their own devices, as several people had to cancel at the last minute.

Not ones to let a thing like that keep them down, they decided to do the show with a live video stream.

In “What We’ve Been Playing”, Jesse talks about Fire Emblem, “BlazBlue” and “Mega Man Star Force 3: Red Joker” (aka Megamon Red). Jonah checked out the “Overlord II” demo, Finished “Tales of Monkey Island: Launch of the Screaming Narwhal” and more “Battlefield Heroes”.
