Review: Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (3DS)
Before the release of the Nintendo 3DS, I had already essentially purchased Street Fighter IV twice. The first time I picked up the special edition of its original release, while the second time I grabbed the vastly improved second iteration.
I didn’t really feel like I “needed” to buy a third version, but as an early adopter of the new system, I wanted a good showpiece for the more powerful handheld. Since the graphics of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition are arguably the best looking of all the 3DS launch titles, it seemed like a natural choice. But as I got it home and spent the better portion of a week playing it, my feelings gravitated from buying it for lack of other games to falling in love with it all over again.
Can Smartphones and Dedicated Portable Game Systems Coexist?
Much like the increase in digital distribution over physical media, the injection of smartphones into the portable gaming ecosystem has quickly caused many to declare dedicated portable game systems officially dead. But is that really so?
I believe that each platform has its strengths and weaknesses. They can… no, they SHOULD coexist. To get rid of dedicated portable game systems in favor of touch screen phones would be to force an unnecessary limitation on ourselves.

Barrel Roll #104 – “Barrel Roll Triple Pack”
On this, the one-hundred and fourth episode of our fine internet radio program, the guys are too depressed to discuss the news. Layoffs, layoffs and more layoffs. The upside is lots of good games come out this week.
A few games were also played this week, including the iPhone versions of NBA Jam and Super Street Fighter IV. Jonah finally picked up Retro Game Challenge and Jesse dove back in to Star Soldier R. Adam lets us know why he is giving up on Bionic Commando ReArmed 2.
We also announce the winner of our last contest. All this and more on Barrel Roll #104, “Barrel Roll Triple Pack”!

Sandwichtabulatron
As I laid in bed last night thinking of Philly Cheese-steaks and video games, I postulated that there might be a way to bring the 2 together. I sketched out an idea for a quantum computer that would be able to crunch the massive amount of data.
With the aid of a hammer, some duct tape and tin foil, I was able to construct a machine capable of processing the complex equations needed to determine exactly what sandwich correlates best to which game.
Confused?
Barrel Roll! #65 – “Fanfilmtastic”
On a very special sixty-fifth episode of Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast, the guys have spent most of their time hunting monsters… again.
But even with being swamped (and by that I mean fighting giant amphibious monsters IN a swamp), we did manage to see the recently released Mega Man fan film and play a small selection of other games, which we proceed to talk about.
Barrel Roll #64 – “Gone Hunting”
On a very special sixty-forth episode of Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast, we were way too busy playing Monster Hunter Tri to play any other games.
OK, that is only a half truth. We did try to squeeze in some Super Street Fighter IV and Mega Man 10 DLC while we were at it.
