The Leftovers: Jesse’s Picks
Not every game we love makes it into the WingDamage top 10. Some of them just don’t have enough unanimous support. These are what we like to call “The Leftovers.”
There were a lot of games I really enjoyed this year. In fact, I didn’t even get a chance to play every game that I wanted to. Afterall, there’s only so much time in the day. Also, well… 170 hours of Monster Hunter Tri really took a chunk out of the time I could have spent with other games.

Barrel Roll! #97 – “Honey, I Shrunk the Show”
On a very special ninety-seventh episode of “Barrel Roll! A Video Game Podcast”, there was an accident in the lab. Despite every safety precaution, a series of random and increasingly wacky events lead to the experimental shrink ray scoring a direct hit on the podcast.
This week, the Gregory brothers team up to talk about what we are all here for (here on WingDamage, not here in the philosophical sense), video games.
Jesse has finally finished Monster Hunter Tri… well, the single player campaign anyway. He also picked up a sweet new Wii joystick for some Tatsunoko vs. Capcom action. Jonah finished the fun but incredibly difficult VVVVVV and also started up Epic Mickey to see what all the fuss was about.
We also discuss the meager news and game releases on this especially abbreviated episode of our podshow. Enjoy!

Review: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (Wii)

"Capcom's Vs. series is finally back in action!"
It’s hard to believe it has been an entire decade since the last new entry in Capcom’s popular Vs. series. While Tatsunoko may be one of the biggest anime companies in Japan, very few people are familiar with the majority of their work here in the states. This, combined with the more complex licensing issues of the Tatsunoko properties overseas has made Tatsunoko vs. Capcom‘s localization a delightful surprise.
And, thanks to a smart move by Capcom, this localization is not of the original version we missed out on, but the next iteration with a larger character roster, balance tweaks, and a near-simultaneous, international release.
Anticipated Wii Games of Q1 2010

2010 is looking to be one of the most ridiculous years we’ve ever seen for game releases. The amount of promising titles coming out is nothing short of intimidating. It is entirely possible that you may drown in quality titles. But remain calm.
We here at WingDamage are here to throw you a life preserver of information. So grab a hold of our list of Wii releases below and you just might survive the first three months of 2010.
See Zero Kick Ass in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars
We don’t normally post news on WingDamage, but this video was a little too tasty not to share. In the video above, we see the Mega Man X series version of Zero doing what he does best: kicking the collective asses of everyone in the general vicinity. Though he was revealed through a leak earlier, finally seeing him in action is a whole new batch of awesome.
Even being one of the people who paid way too much to import the Japanese version of this game back in December 2008, I would gladly pay full price again for these extra characters (and to a lesser extent, the added online multiplayer). While I was originally worried that this game would not sell well due to all the importers like myself, Capcom has proved their cleverness in how to bring the title over.
