The Leftovers: Dave’s Picks
Not every game we love makes it into the WingDamage top 10. Some of them just don’t have enough unanimous support. These are what we like to call “The Leftovers.”
2010 was an amazing year filled with some pretty nifty games. Narrowing all this niftiness down to a mere 10 games proved to be a daunting task. With the help of an intrepid band of explorers, scientists, and the Sandwichtabulatron, I was able to determine the 10 best games of the year. Unfortunately, my picks were not unanimously approved with a standing ovation and on offer of dictatorship of Wingdamagia for life.

As the only British contributor to WingDamage, my top 10 choices feel a little eclectic.
They’re a mixture of imports, big names and under-appreciated titles, mixed with a few games that only just graced Europe’s shores in 2010.
I feel a little behind, but the extra wait (in more than a few instances) was definitely worth it.

These days it is literally impossible to play every game that comes out in a year and not get fired from your day job or completely alienate your spouse. We suffer an embarrassment of riches with so many big name titles and indie gems hitting the market on a regular basis.
I did my best to play as many games as I could get my grubby mitts on, especially in the last few months of 2010.
But I’m only one man…

Picking one’s ten favorite games is no easy task. Especially in my case; just thinking of ten games I played over the year is pretty difficult. Despite my sometimes passionate sentiments towards games, I don’t think I’d consider myself an avid gamer. Heck, at least three games I bought last year I still have yet to play. Games are a waste of time, anyway!
But I do think I’m getting more into games, especially with the help of advice from friends. I did manage to play things here and there that were wonderful surprises, and I doubt I would have gotten into them otherwise. So, here are the top games that wasted my time in 2010.

There were a lot of games I really enjoyed this year. In fact, I didn’t even get a chance to play every game that I wanted to. Afterall, there’s only so much time in the day. Also, well… 170 hours of Monster Hunter Tri really took a chunk out of the time I could have spent with other games.
