Review: Wii Sports Resort (Wii)

"Wii Sports 2: The Revenge"
When Wii Sports released with the Nintendo Wii system back in 2006, it was often referred to as a “glorified tech demo”. The amount of content was limited, but it showed off some of the possible applications of the new motion controls the system boasted. Even still, what little content was there proved to be a fun “party game” experience for a long time after.
Wii Sports Resort is in a similar situation. The game sets out to show off Nintendo’s new peripheral, the Wii Motion Plus. Will Wii Sports Resort be able to have the same effect on people that the original Wii Sports had? Will it have enough replay value to stay “in rotation” for multiplayer?
Because it is essentially a minigame collection, the best way to get the answers to these questions is by taking a look at each of the games contained within Wii Sports Resort individually.
Review: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 (Wii)

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!"
First off, I just want to get one thing out of the way. This game can also be found on both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, however, this review is only going to focus on the Wii version. All the menus and even the leveling system is handled very differently on the Wii version.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is one of the first games to take advantage of Nintendo’s latest peripheral, Wii Motion Plus. With the announcement of motion technology from both Microsoft and Sony at this year’s E3, Wii Motion Plus has a lot of impressing to do. Can it pull off the task?

That is why we at WingDamage present to you “Fashionably Late Reviews“. This is our series on games from the current generation of consoles that we may have missed on their initial release, but have gone back to experience now.
In a matter of days, the world of video-golf is expected to be revolutionized by Tiger Woods 10, utilizing Wii Motion Plus. Long before this new tech, Camelot released a competent golf game published through Capcom making use of the standard wiimote successfully. How this game was produced without a pun in the name, however, is anyone’s guess.
Camelot has a rich history of developing golf games, particularly in both the Mario Golf and Hot Shots Golf series. Though “We Love Golf” makes use of the Wii’s motion controls, people who have played the past works of Camelot are immediately going to find that the core mechanics are quite familiar.
